"Zion is God's temple. He has built this land of great stones and mountains and rivers for us to worship him. Here, today, I announce that Zion will be free from Morova. We declare ourselves our own land. This small piece of the desert belongs to us and to God. I pray for the safety of my people, but we cannot expect God to do all the work. We are prepared to defend ourselves and the good people that search us out. I have lived through pain and suffering. I have been burned alive. I have fought a war. Yet, I survived, for the fire inside of me burned brighter than the fire around me. Zion may be surrounded by the fires of the gentiles, but we will not fall. We will not despair. In this world filled with misery and uncertainty, it is a great comfort to know that in the end, there is a light in the darkness. We will redeem Zion and become a carrier of that light to the world." -Recored statement by Joshua Graham sent to Morovan Public Radio
