The Treaty of Orléans and Benice is a defensive agreement, signed by Ecrosian nations Jackson and Quebecshire. It was initially initiated as a reaction to increasing influence from Sur and the Neosurian region, and to strengthen political ties between the two signatories.

Provisions

Article I: The parties to this document are the Serene State of Quebecshire (as defined by the Constitution of Quebecshire) and the United States of Jackson (as defined by the Constitution of Jackson). The parties may not recognize any governments to another party other than those legitimately recognized in the treaty.
Article II: If either party to this alliance is in a time of war, the other party must come to the defense of the aforementioned party.
Article III: There will be no military aggression between either party of this agreement.
Article IV: Import and Export terifs controlled by the central and provincial governments shall be abolished between each party.
Article V: Interest rates, for both parties, will be reduced for the other party specifically, to a rate below the net average of rates for other entities.
Article VI: Either party may exit this agreement at any time, unless either party is in a defensive conflict.
