Tranquillia, officially the Combined States of Tranqullia, is an Independent sovereign nation located on the western tip of Ostlandet. With a population of 11 million people, Tranquillia is a relatively small nation compared to others of it’s size however this number has not hindered development of the young nation. Tranquillia is a very technologically focused country, boasting advanced technological and transportation infrastructure and a thriving privatised tech industry. The nation is divided into three areas, sometimes refereed top as districts, each with its own unique culture and traditions. Tranquillia has no direct neighbouring country and is surrounded by a vast ocean on its western side and a mountainous range to it’s east, making it a somewhat isolated nation. This isolation has led to the development of a self-reliant attitude by its population and a focus on improving transportation infrastructure and vast communication networks.
Over the last 20 years, Tranquillia has become a technological marvel, with innovation and creativity unrivalled by others in the region. The government has made significant investments in research and development, with a focus on Communications, robotics, and biotechnology. This has led to the growth of a thriving tech industry, which now accounts for a significant portion of the country's GDP. Due to it’s isolation Tranquillia has also been at the forefront of green technology, with a focus on renewable energy and sustainable development. This has earned the country international recognition for its efforts in combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability. Because of the history of Tranquillia the nation houses no direct offensive fighting force and chose instead to focus it’s military forces on self defence and humanitarian efforts becoming a region leader in humanitarian aid and response.

The Pink Flag and it’s leadership held onto power with an iron frip, imposing swaft culturual and economic reforms on the nation of Anemisia, reports indicate that in the first 3 months of power over 2,000 new laws were passed and a total of 500 existing rights were suspended, the nation would be shrouded in darkness for 32 years, suffering under the rule the Pink Flag until the April Uprising in 1963. The uprising was sparked by a student massacre which the government tried to cover up, In the early hours of May 2nd, the nations Capital of Port Richberg erupted into mass protests, riots and fighting, within days a de-facto civil war begun. The uprising lasted for 6 months and ended in the dissolution of the Anemisian Empire, the prohibition of the Pink Flag governmental forces and the formation of the Combined States of Tranquillia under a one party ruler.

Current Tranquillia
Since the Dissolution's of the Anemisian Empire, The nation of Tranquillia has been ruled peacefully by the elected leader of the peoples liberation party, though effictivly a dictatorship, the current administration uses it’s powers for efficiency and to prevent others from suffering the same fate that they suffered under the pink flag. Similar to the previous administration, vast reforms took place almost instantly upon gaining power, these reforms were met with praise by both the international community and the citizens of Tranquillia by rectifying injustices done uder the rule of the pink flag. The nation was war-torn and it’s economy in shambles after being almost entirely driven to the ground during the uprising, The leadership had many problems to solve initially ranging from economic downturn, governmental corruption, homelessness and damaged infrastructure.
It took almost 10 years for the new nation to fully recover from the wounds it’s previous leaders created, building full trust back with it’s populous took longer and even today there are still those in Tranquillia who are suspicious of the government. However Tranquillia recovered and began to improve itself, vowing to never fall back into the cruelness that it only recently crawled out from, massive public works and infrastructure projects began to get approved, the national hi-speed rail network began construction in the the late 1980’s and connected even the most remote areas of the nation to it’s capitoal. Sweeping reforms in education began to take place and priotized engineering and STEM from an early age, Universal healthcare was started and an increase in life expectancy and overall health of the population was seen.
During the 1990’s technological advancements began to grow rapidly in the world, The leadership of Tranquillia saw the potential that computers, the internet and other technologies would have in the future and began to invest heavily in technological advancements. The first internet connection was set up to the nation on July 24th 1994 with the first modern internet exchange being set up in June of the same year. Capitalising on it’s incredible education and infrastructure sector’s the nation began rapid development of a national internet grid connecting every citizen with high speed access free of charge by the end of 1998. With it’s foot in the door off modern technological advancements, tranquillia set itself up as a technology hub and is known world wide for it’s innovations.

The Emperor Penguin was chosen as the national animal by popular vote in 2008 beating out the Sea turtle by 2 million votes.
