The third Kindle ministry began on 5 May 2017, immediately following the 2017 legislative election, in which the Labour Party returned to power with a majority of 84 seats in the National Council. The majority of ministers were assigned on the 6 May 2017, excluding the Chancellor of the Exchequer who was declared shortly after the Premier was sworn in.
