The Salvadoran Provisional Government of National Accord (Salvadoran Spanish: Gobierno Provisional Salvadoreño de Acuerdo Nacional, abbreviated GPSAN) was the government of El Salvador from July 16, 1935, until it was overthrown on July 13, 1956, during the Salvadoran Revolution of 1956. The government was ruled by a military junta and it was lead by eight men with Field Marshal Carlos Castillo Armas being its leader and head.
