Saša Miroslavić Kalajdžić[note 1] (Cyrillic: Саша Мирославић Калајџић; born 7 July 1997) is a Tiroler professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga Imperial club San Salvador and the Tirol national team. He is of Cherzian descent.

Early life

Saša Miroslavić Kalajdžić was born on 7 July 1997 in Innsbruck, Tirol.

Club career

CP Pontenord

Kalajdžić started his career as a professional football player in Tirol for the Lia Prima club, CP Pontenord in the Innsbruck City District of Pontenord. Originally playing as a midfielder, he later became a forward. During this period, Kalajdžić appeared in 29 matches and scored 22 goals.

CP Fassa

His three year contract ended in 2016, and after being approached by CP Fassa II to be signed to their second team, Kalajdžić joined the Lia 2 team after their promotion following the 2015–16 Lia Prima initially for a four year contract. In 38 appearances, Kalajdžić scored 21 goals.

CF San Pedro

Kalajdžić's contract with Fassa II was terminated prematurely after they were approached by the then Creeperian Division I team, CF San Pedro. He was purchased by the club for a total of ₵9,120,000 credits over a period of three years.[note 2] Since his debut in the 2019–20 season, he has appeared 72 times and scored 40 goals, aiding in the team's ascension to the Creeperian Premier League for the 2021–22 season. He also played in the 2022 Copa Creeperiano, scoring four goals throughout the tournament and helping lead his team to the final match, where San Pedro was defeated 0–2 by CF Adolfosburg.[1]

CF San Salvador

Kalajdžić signed a 4-year ₡1.1 billion colón contract with CF San Salvador on 27 May 2022.[2]

Activism

Cherzian nationalism

Kalajdžić has been a long-term advocate for Cherzian independence from Ajakanistan and was a vocal opponent of the Ajaki People's Party prior to the OU military intervention in Ajakanistan. On 30 August 2021, Kalajdžić received a yellow card during a friendly match against Ajakanistan after a physical altercation with an Ajaki player. In an interview after the match, he admitted attempting to push over the Ajaki player, claiming "his people have done far worse to mine".
