Roman Joseph Vanderburg (born February 7, 1969) is a former president of Gjorka. Before entering the presidency, he was an Assembly Member from Gjorka City between 2001 and 2011. He is also the brother of former Vice President Julian Vanderburg and Inner Kingdom Bandits head coach Andrew Vanderburg.

Born and raised in Gjorka City, Roman attended Alicia University, and then proceeded to Éire Law School. At Éire law he graduated as the President of his class. After graduating, he became in house counsel for the Gjorkan Police Union, one of the largest unions in the country, and eventually became their head attorney. Following the Shooting of Oscar Watkins and the subsequent 1998 Gjorka City Riots he resigned in protest due to the actions of police officers against protestors. His resignation and interviews about the decision led to nationwide fame. He turned to politics and started a campaign to become an assembly member from Gjorka City. Despite being considered a massive underdog against the incumbent Drew Bledsoe he managed to win the seat and became a member in 2001. During his time in the assembly he pushed for several several Reforms including, but not limited to, the legalization of gay marriage, the implementation of universal healthcare, and immigration reform. He became the leader of the Forward Gjorka caucus in 2005. Following the election of Joseph Marnell, he became a fierce critic of the president. In 2010, he announced his campaign for President and managed to secure the Forward Gjorka nomination. He easily defeated the massively unpopular Joseph Marnell, winning 60% of the vote. After his inauguration, he has implemented several reforms such as the Universal Healthcare Act which greatly expanded insurance coverage and caused the uninsured population to crater. He also legalized gay marriage and reformed police organizations around the country. Since his inauguration, accidental shootings by police, accusations of police brutality, and protests against unfair treatment by the police have gone down significantly. He managed to secure re-election in the 2016 Gjorkan presidential election.
