The Rhaetic system of units (Ladin: Liviei dla Raetia; literally Rhaetic standards), is the system of units defined first by the Royal Trading Standards Decree 1716 and has been developed since through a number of amendments and specifications.

The Rhaetic system developed from earlier measures of cultural significance in Tirol, prior to the Trading Standards Decree, each area of Tirol defined its own standards, standardised by duchy in some areas, whilst differing from city to city in others.

Volume

The Royal Trading Standards Decree 1716 invalidated the various measures used across the Kingdom of Tirol, declaring them to be replaced by statute measures based around the Rhaetic mesura (ms), a unit based upon the previous Inn bira mesura, the measure used for beer in the Duchy of the Inn. The mesura was established as the volume of x of water at 17°C (x).
