The Krabbi is the official currency of Reykanes. It has been in circulation since 1st January 1951 after the Reykani Líra became defunct (code: KR). It is subdivided into 100 hundraðasta. The Krabbi is issued by the Reykani National Bank and the coins are minted by the Reykani Monetary Institute.

The word Krabbi means "Crab" in Reykani, referring to the historical use of Crabs as units of value in medieval trading. hundraðasta means Hundredth.
