Christianity is the predominant religion in Tirol. As of 2019, Catholics made up 53.5% of the population, with a record high of 19.6% registered as irreligious. Data provided by the Tiroler Catholic Church suggested a far lower number were practicing Catholics at only 23% of the population. Protestants made up around 12.2% of the population, predominantly members of the Reformed Church of Talfëra. Rhaetic Paganism has increased substantially in the past decade as a consequence of Rhaetic revivalism, reaching 5.3% of the population as of 2019, the highest proportion on record.

The remaining 5.4% of religious individuals are mainly composed of migrant and expatriated populations in Tirol, with Kehvism as the largest amongst this group due to a sizeable Cherzian population.
