Rakeoian paternalism, sometimes perjoritively described as Rakeoian neo-colonialism, was the leading force behind the politic apparatus of Rakeo during the Second Republic.

Rakeoian paternalism at its core says that Creeperopolis and Creeperian rule were either necessary for the development of Rakeo into a mature independent nation, or greatly sped up progress. Sometimes, this is combined with Anti-Sequoyan sentiment, using the relative lack of social and technological development in Sequoyah as an example of what happens to nations that mostly rejected colonialism. In this way, Paternalism could be seen as the antithesis of Creeperianization.
