Quintin III of Gjorka (July 17, 1710 – September 3, 1775) was the last King of Gjorka, reigning from June 5, 1743 to September 3, 1775 before he was executed during the First Gjorkan Civil War. Quintin III became King at the age of 32 following his father's, Quintin II, death. His reign was full of controversy and scandal. Just a year into his reign he provoked the Gjorkan–Ajak War which bankrupted the Kingdom, a state it would never recover from under his reign. He was know for hosting frequent lavish balls despite his Kingdom's financial situation. Following an army rebellion in 1756, Quintin III introduced some democratic reforms including forming an advisory cabinet. This cabinet did not last long as it was dissolved 1760 due to the King's frustrations with the council. Following a hurricane in 1769 which left much of Bloemfontein destroyed, the King moved to Gjorka City where he butted heads with the ruling merchant elite in the city. He attempted a coup of the city's government in 1770 which led to the First Gjorkan Civil War. Quintin III was captured by Merchant forces in late august of 1775 and executed on September 3, 1775.
