Protestantism is a branch of Christianity that emphasizes the belief that salvation comes through belief in God and that the Bible is the sole source for Christian faith and practice. Protestantism follows the tenets of the Protestant Reformation, which began in the early 16th century in Sur under the leadership of Martín López Pulos, and had the goal to reform the Catholic Church of its perceived faults and corruption. Later thinkers such as Cauvunus expanded the reformation to Ecros in the mid 1500s, however most Protestant movements in Ecros failed to gain major traction, with only minor sects being left in Tirol and New Illyricum.
