Rakeo, officially the Stratocratic Republic of Rakeo is the second poorest nation on the Southern Landmass. Rakeo is bordered to the north by Creeperopolis and the Senvarian Sea, and to the west by the Republic of Sequoyah. As of 2020, Rakeo has an estimated population of 30 million, making it the 19th most populous nation in the world.

The Rakeoian economy used to be heavily based on agricultural and textile exports, but under the isolationist policies of the government during 1955-1980, exports fell and the economy contracted to its modern value of ℝ34.1 trillion. (The Rakeoian Ralgi has hyperinflated to over 113 times as much as the Quebecshirite Credit, the base currency of Terraconserva. As such, the figure of ℝ34.1 trillion is equivalent to ₡0.3 trillion Credits.) The country continues to struggle with historically poor foreign relations, a drug epidemic, a weak economy, and country-wide poverty. The official currency of Rakeo is the Rakeoian Ralgi and it has been since the end of the Second Republic. Rakeo has been commonly called "a dictatorship in everything but name".

The Rakeoian Civil War was a civil war that was fought between 1950 to 1955, between a nationalist-military unified front in the west and loyalists who backed the eastern Rakeoian Republic. The war is generally agreed by scholars to have ended with the surrender of the Republic stronghold of Jinosiá in 1955. Despite this, the Stratocratic government has never formalized any treaty ending the war, saying that the Rakeoian diaspora and its descendants are "enemy combatants, war criminals, and terrorists". Selected War or Battle
The Rakeoian Civil War (Rakeoian: Milito de Patriotas) was an internal armed conflict that occurred in Rakeo between 8 February 1950 and 20 November 1955. The military, aided by both ethnic nationalists and other far-right militants, fought to establish a military dictatorship euphemistically described as a Stratocratic Republic. In opposition, forces loyal to parliament sought to maintain semi-democratic control over the country. The civil war is considered by some to be a protracted or botched military coup against the Second Republic of Rakeo. Read more...
