Pillanderia (Modern Pillan Dialectic English: Pillanɗéria; Archaic Pillan Dialectic English: þïlläñɗériäª; English Pronunciation: [:pɪl.ænd.ˈɛriə]), officially the Republic of Pillanderia, is a large-sized Northern island state, surrounded by the Glaceis Ocean, and located within the Clyɗé Archipelago, the Northern Terraconserva, including regional areas of PNC (Pillanderian Northern Coast), PWC (Pillanderian Western Coast), PSC (Pillanderian Southern Coast), PEC (Pillanderian Eastern Coast) and the PCB (Pillanderian Central Block), officially used in geographical references. Pillanderian exclaves are residing on distinct islands, represented by the Eight Islands Région, whereas the majority of the territorial value is concentrated on the Capiťaliménťary. The capital and largest city of Pillanderia is Tẉilɗwén, located in the West of the PNC, which (together with surrounding areas) is home to more than 45% of the country's population; where the economical output is primarily focused in, and where most prominent companies of the nation hold their headquarters. Rural areas of the capital contain most efficient and valuable production enterprises, governmental and private respectively. The landscape of Pillanderia is mostly mountainous, with a predominance of low and medium height mountains. The landforms are pointed and angular. There are a lot of rivers in the country, occasionally suitable for ships to pass through. Due to archipelago's location, Pillanderia has a subarctic marine climate with chill and dark summers.

Pillanderia uses a market economy, implementing personal income tax system. The government of Pillanderia provides citizens with health care and top-class education; government's interests are primarily focused and shared between the spheres of welfare, healthcare, education and defense. Pillanderia makes a very deep accent on pharmocology and arms manufacturing; companies of such enterprises are deemed monopolistic, especially if associated with the functional government. Pillanderia as well ranks high on democracy and equality indices. The growth of Pillanderia's economy is reasoned by, primarily, the sufficiency of exported natural resources, such as gold, zinc, or timber. The export also heavily relies on chemical industries, electrical equipment, medical products and fishing. Climate of the country and an inability to implement added value makes agriculture severely unprofitable, which is the reason why farms and farming spheres are lacking attention.

Pillanderia is in possession of a medium-sized population of 40 million people, amongst whom 49.2 percent are men and 50.8 percent are women.[1]

Political compound of Pillanderia strongly differs in views and ideologies, however, democratic parties, such as the Inťroké Pillans, College Liberty Party or Silicolivér Party , are considered the biggest and most influential of all, being elected as a primary ideology of Pillanderia for over 20 years. The government condemns and disallows violent or extreme parties to participate in elections or be a member of the parliament. Pillanderia restricts the elections to four candidates maximum, regulated by the Federal Advisory Center, keeping a political tradition since the 1890, although number of electorate parties might be expanded in the nearest future with a higher frequency of parties establishment within Pillanderia. The government generally supports social minorities and encourages citizens to be compassionate, as well as subsidizes many social startups or aid organizations.

A head legal document is the Constitution of Caspido-Pillan, civil and criminal Codes are united and provided in the National Code of Pillanderia.

Etymology

Pillanderia takes it's name from the first ruling dynasties and founders of the Caspiɗian Réalḿ it initially was, the þïlläñɗér Äçtärchlïés (Pillander Astarchlies). Many cultural areas of the Caspiɗian Réalḿ were named after the dynasty, and in 1883 the representatives of the Clyɗé Dynasty named the Realm after the founders of the Caspiɗian Réalḿ past the events of the Collapse of the Rosé.

History

19th century

Pillanderian Bastion and The Caspidian Realm

Capiťaliménťary Island had not seen a foot of a human until, following the chronicles, the 11th century. Occasional mentions of the island and the surrounding archipelago appeared in the literature of the past here and there, but was never a topic of discussions. Geographical discoveries barely touched the Capitalimentary (13th-15th century), primarily due to the harsh, (by that time), climate, a strong presence of dangerous wildlife of the North and overall uselessness for the agricultural society of those decades. Somewhere between the 16th-17th centuries, colonists from Dragonia managed to establish a series of small villages on the Southern regions of the Capitalimentary, closest to their borders. Remarkably, these villages were later used as either prisons or fishing stations. By the end of the 18th century, the island was merely left to itself, with the majority colonists abandoning the South. Fishers and rogues told traders different legends, that a "cornucopia made itself a home on these homelands, on the verges of the peaky mountains, gloomily watching over the endless fields".[2] Those few fishers and miners who were able to see the rich soil were a primary source of such legends.

The history of Pillanderia starts in the 6th decade of the 19th century, on the unnamed and, by the most part, uninhabited territory of the modern Capiťaliménťary Island. Rare, disunited and distinct rogue fishing villages filled up the compound of the Southern and occasionally Northern island, while populating only the 9% of it.

On July 26th of 1863, which is considered an official date of establishment of Pillanderia's predecessor, the Cäsþïɗiäñ Réälḿ, vacant territory of a small portion of the Northern Capiťaliménťary Island, was discovered by the maritime team of Cénträlïmn ɗé þénshoré. At the time, Cénträlïmn resided as a captain leading a very well-funded expedition, presumably hosted by the officials of Dragonia, and consisting of a large amount of guards and seamen. The expedition was held in order to colonize small islands surrounding the Capitalimentary, but ended up populating the Capitalimentary itself. Nevertheless, to this very day, no historical chronicles of the expeditions are saved and only small mentions make up the evidence. Cénträlïmn was a mysterious, barely documented figure, and so was his team. His nationality, personal life and past remain a mystery to this very day. It is still a historical dispute, whether he was Dragonian or not in the first place, as theories of him being a mercenary prevail.

Upon deploying at the island, the entire team located two Northern villages, being the Joshlee Village and Casper Community; both were independent and did not belong to any particular oversea country. Cénträlïmn engaged in negotiations with headmen of both villages, and convinced them, primarily by gold, to join the territories of both settlements and start expanding South. Thus, the Praepostorate of Casp (Archaic Pillan Dialectic English: þräépostoräté of Cäsþ) was established, later renamed into the status of a bastion, and even later becoming a functioning state. Headmen of both settlements became hosts of the expansion alongside Cénträlïmn himself, who proclaimed himself the Leader of the expansion. On their way during the expansion, mercenaries from both villages formed decentralized defense forces to sustain safety. On August 17th, the community had grown into the Pillanderian Bastion (Archaic Pillan Dialectic English: þïlläñɗérïäñ Bäsťïoñ), a medium-sized, armed and unorganized structure consisting of mercenary "knights", expansion leaders and civilians. The Bastion would later find many modern-day cities of Pillanderia, including Twildwen. Somewhat of an elite strata was later formed in the community, traders and craftsmen united into Craftsmen Associations, whereas combatants formed regiments in Bäsťïoñ Guardship. There was also a predecent of a legislative system - the Bäsťïoñ Advisory, a bicameral legislative organ within the territories of the expansion, including the house of Hosts, consisting of prominent mercenaries and their commanders, Casper and Joshlee headmen and their close ones, team of Cénträlïmn and Cénträlïmn himself; and the house of Protege, consisting of civilians and natives of the Craftsmen Association. The Advisory held meetings each week, where both houses suggested improvements to the system of the expanding community. The Bastion then seemed more organized and constructed.

Since the start, Bastion workers and civilians significantly boosted the starting economy, merchants and traders were notably free in their decisions, whereas miners and independent mining trade unions vigorously relied on natural resources. As a result of all above, metallurgy took a dominant spot in Bastion's accents. Over 7 manufactories were swiftly built across the Bastion by bourgeois.

Bastion civil had also insisted on the promotion of education; the new generation of their children were ought to get a decent education and grow in great conditions. Series of unnamed schools were opened across the Bastion as well.

Flag of the Caspidian Realm.

On October 22nd of 1864 the 1st Expansion was over, and the Bastion was reprofiled and renamed into the Caspidian Realm of Pillander (Archaic Pillan Dialectic English: Cäsþïɗiäñ Réälḿ of þïlläñɗér). Twildwen, a large mining town became Realm's capital. Immigrants started arriving at the newborn nation, rapidly increasing the population count.

The þïlläñɗér Äçtärchlïés dynasty was founded by Cénträlïmn, including closest members of the house of Hosts of the Advisory. The dynasty became a foundation stone of the entire political system of the Realm, dynasty members began cultivating the dynasty itself, promoting its' "supreme nature". Gradually, the dynasty turned more and more mysterious, growing rumors, until becoming a distant association of shadow elites of the Realm, including Cénträlïmn himself. In the meantime, he enforced himself as a Monarch of the Caspidian Realm, becoming Cénträlïmn ɗé þénshoré the Ist.

Soldier regiments of the Bastion were reformed into an initial image of a regular army; units stationed at Northern and Southern stations, occasionally being a part of the improvised law enforcement. Meanwhile, head political roles were assigned; Royal Commander, Royal Advisor, Education Provisor and Welfare Provisor. On December 22nd, Royal Order Corps, a primary police force, was founded in Twildwen.

In the same year the taxation system was added, albeit the Monarch fixed the percent fees tolerant in concern of commerce dealers in order to both keep the market stable and provide the federal budget.

Years of busy development went on, by 1866 Caspidian Realm of Pillander occupied 70% of the Capitalimentary, and was in charge of keeping a population of over 112 000. Soil and minerals of the nation caused significant help to the development of the Realm. Gold mining became a leading industry, albeit such enterprises as agriculture played an insignificant role within the economy and were deemed unprofitable. The nation had also practiced an economical policy of providing small colonies for independent mining companies, making private market a vibrant economical sphere.

In parallel with this, unoccupied areas of Capitalimentary were self-reliantly discovered and populated by self-proclaimed Dukes. For example, in 1867 the New-Cellon was founded, attempting to assert its' own economy. The island started separating.

Town life in Fleurdelese.

1869-1873 became ripe years of Caspidian Realm's bloom; international trade was regulated, the entire Capitalimentary was populated with nearly a million. Infrastructure and urbanization ranked high in the Realm, the intelligence and bourgeois filled their ranks with ordinary citizens. However, there was a major downside that appeared in the early 70's of the Realm. Astarchlies Dynasty's compound was reduced by twice under the order of Cénträlïmn, with four members being left; Oťťo Säñ Séɗoñé, the Glare-Justicioner of the dynasty, Susäññé Kéllmér, the Justicioner, Osťér Wélléñgér, the Lance-Justicioner, and Cénträlïmn ɗé þénshoré the Ist, as the Monarch and the Headmaster of the dynasty. Realm's authority was held by the Headmaster, and compared to other members of the dynasty, he was very exalted. The inequality of such kind planted mistrust in the dynasty and subsequently became a reason of a conspiracy amidst the members.

The Rose Reign

1874 became the year of conspirator's apogee; on January 12th Osťér Wélléñgér and his wife Jéññéť Hélɗrïgh hired a mercenary army from several detachments of the Reclamyde Battalions and initiated a quick coup within the San-Monarchy Palace in Twildwen during the sleeptime of the Monarch. Cénträlïmn was killed in his own bed by the blades of soldiers' sabers. The Rosé Coup was concluded. By the morning Osťér Wélléñgér gathered the remainings of the dynasty and threatened them to resign their membership in the Astarchlies Dynasty. Under the fear of death, all three signed the acts and departed from the Palace.

On January 13th Osťér Wélléñgér and Jéññéť Hélɗrïgh created the Rosé Dynasty, a new ruling dynasty of the Realm. Osťér Wélléñgér proclaimed himself a Monarch. By that time, Caspidian Realm of Pillander's population went over 200 thousand residents. The Realm was growing, and the success of it was irrefutable. On February 8th, the predecessor of the Federal Advisory Center, Royalist Parliament, was instituted. The coup did not shock anyone, nor anyone resisted; the army was reformatted, and governmental politicians were convinced to not go against the new authority in exchange for their safety and money. The Rose Reign began.

The Rose Dynasty extensively promoted the policy of landholding within the Realm, hoping that independent lands will improve the Realm's economy. The expanding territorial value of the country was vigorously divided between monopolists and political elite members, semi-independent lands formed duchies and principalities. From 1874 to 1880 total of 9 dukes ascended on their thrones. Caspidian Realm was disunited, and every year the surrounding dependencies became more and more self-sufficient, which barely bothered the Monarch. Rulers of landholdings, commonly known as the landlords, were obliged to share taxation percent monthly with the Realm. High fees forced landlords to raise taxes, while the intelligence earned the same. This struck the working class the most, and many fell into poverty, while landlords refused to aid the marginalized. On top of that, Wélléñgér encouraged the heads of three unassociated island's municipalities, being the Replandia, New-Cellon and Stanburg, to sign the 1881's Centralization Act and make themselves dependent in exchange of Realm's aid in economical and social spheres. After the act was signed, Caspidian Realm possessed 12 landholdings total.

This policy went wrong in the first five years, people of dependent lands were starving, whereas national leaders barely had any influence. The conditions only worsened in the following years, reaching a peak on May 24th of 1882, when the Royalist Parliament published a mandatory Limelye Act. The bills of the act in a broad sense forced landlords to withdraw their own armies and obliged them to allow a deployment of Reclamyde regiments on their borders and capitals to enforce influence within the dependent lands. The majority of landlords saw the intervention as an act of political aggression and an attempt to reduce their sovereignty. Albeit, their objection was powerless against the parliament's and Monarch's decision. Yet, many fell into disobedience and simply didn't allow Realm's soldiers to enter their territories. On the borders of Coltrane, St. Liam, Tellmerian, Stanburg, New-Cellon and Crella heated quarrels transpired, up to the point where soldiers threatened one another.

Meanwhile, Osťér Wélléñgér was busy building his external policies, which he did quite well; the amount of trading ports doubled, and the Monarch actively attempted to communicate with foreign leaders and their philosophers, dreaming to build a country of education. Above all, interaction with overseas nations was minimal, and only trading made a decent contribution.

Duchies of the Caspidian Realm.

Amazed by the works of foreign philosophers and literators, Osťér Wélléñgér and his wife initiated numerous education programs for noble members of society. Folklore became a trending entertainment for the noble, the mythology included griffin as the central object of many lores and legends. Griffins became part of the culture as the free (winged), mighty warriors (presence of strong beak and claws), symbolizing inherent qualities of a true protector. Reclamyde Battalions adopted the animal on their insignias and gave it significant attention. On the economical arena, the Realm continued exploiting nature resources and spending the budget on education, simultaneously trying to invest in early medicine. The army needs also consumed a decent amount of federal money, however Wélléñgér never hesitated to allocate such funds. Caspidian Realm was as well famous for its' urbanistic architects, whom shaped up the biggest cities of the Realm, they helped such cities expand, while giving them a decent look.

Landholding borders' tensions kept escalating. While some soldiers with enormous effort made it through the borders and were ready to deploy at capitals following the conditions of the Limelye Act, others struggled to get past the local armies. The inactivity of the Monarchy gave roots to lawlessness in the municipalities. On May 30th, a Northern landholding, Duchy of Crélla, refused to provide the Realm a taxation percent. A mere day later, Tellmerian did the same.

A turning point in the Rose Reign and an apogee of the territorial dispute became the unagreed separation of Crella on June 3rd of 1882, when Duke Cällïstér von Hégrémmér proclaimed an independency after many years of Realm's exploitation, which caused severe problems to the Realm, as primary economical points, such as ports or factories resided within the municipality or close to it. The Monarch gave his response, attempting to solve the conflict diplomatically, but Hégrémmér refused to participate, which steered a military response of the Caspidian Realm of Pillander, starting the Summer War of the Caspidian Realm on June 12th.

Reclamyde Battalions attacked the borders of Crella. Monarch, meanwhile, decided to restrict the political abilities of other landlords and liquidate their independency in order to prevent more separations. An Act of Rosemunicip was published on July 2nd. It repeated conditions of the Limelye and restricted economical freedom for municipalities. All above provoked a terrifying discontent among landlords, who felt that their rights were neglected. In the aftermath of this, 7 other duchies, including Replandia, Coltrane, Liberdson, St. Liam, New-Cellon, Tellmerian and Stanburg one by one proclaimed their independence and became belligerents of the Rose Dynasty Civil War on July 23rd.

Crella managed to advance on the borders, Crella Armed Unit succeeded to move through in the Northeastern and Northwestern borders, expecting to surround Twildwen. The Civil War had undermined nearly all plans of the Reclamyde Battalions and Monarch's particularly.

The command of the Realm was confused and was in shortage of human resources. In the North, obtained a nature of a trench warfare. From late 1882 to the end of the year battles caused significant territorial effect, yet later some landlords decided to stop an offensive, reasoned by an insufficience of supplies, and established defense spots and bastions, whereas some continued to attack. This endured prior to 1883.

On May 28th of 1883 the Battle of San-Bastillian transpired to the West of the Caspidian-Crella border. The battle concluded with a retreat of Battalion detachments and the breakthrough of Crella Armed Unit infantry, allowing them to surround Twildwen. Later, forces of Liberdson joined their efforts in the warzone. On June 7th of 1883 Corps de Fleirse and Crella Armed Unit infantry and cavalry soldiers surrounded the San-Monarchy Palace and encountered royal guards of Reclamyde Battalion securing the palace. Their battle lasted for 46 hours with over 189 dead and 78 wounded. The Battalion was defeated, and leftover Duchy soldiers freely entered the palace. Osťér Wélléñgér and Jéññéť Hélɗrïgh attempted to flee through the windows, but were caught. The Monarch was executed in front of his own palace walls. His wife made a second attempt of an escape and was shot in the process. Their 3-year old son, Hémiñgwäy Wélléñgér, and 4-year old daughter Jéññéť Hélɗrïgh Jr. were barbarously choked by Liberdson soldiers a couple of hours later. The bloodbath of the war was over; territories of the Caspidian Realm were utterly split and the Rose Dynasty ceased to exist.

The shocking speed of the war convinced the locals to not intervene, and when Liberdson and Crellian soldiers took away their factories and manufactories, they immediately surrendered. Liberdson and Crella leaders established a pro-landlord regime within the Realm, abolished Limelye and Rosemunicip acts and brought tax regulation to a minimum. Those few municipalities which did not separate, were forced to fund the belligerents to help them recover.

Pillanderian Realm

The government of the Caspidian Realm was left ravaged and unspecified by the most part. In the same year, Crellian leader's 19-year old son þhïlïpp von Hégrémmér ascended to the throne. Upon the start of his reign, the Caspidian Realm was renamed into the Pillanderian Realm. (Archaic Pillan Dialectic English: þïlläñɗérïäñ Réälḿ)

Clyɗé Dynasty was formed, and officially took the role of the government, recognizing the new Realm as a distinct state, yet, everything within it was affiliated and associated with Crella. Politicians and bureaucrats of the old system were either silently executed, or overthrown and resigned from their posts. The Royalist Parliament was silenced, members partially forcefully resigned. On July 10th Departments of Territorial Selection were established within the biggest cities of the Pillanderian Realm, designated to regulate public order and compliance of the citizens in order to avoid separatism. Nevertheless, Departments were deemed ineffective of their corruption and inorganization, whereas still being focal points of the Clyde Dynasty power and influence.

The Realm was severely disunited. Herlye and St. Liam started their island expansion. Herlye, particularly, doubled its' territories, inhabiting yet unnamed islands to the North. Territorial discoveries helped Duchies focus on international trade, which suffered through major insufficiency. Even after the collective strike on the Rose Dynasty and team work in the war, Duchies didn't become allies, rather focusing on enforcing borders and following isolationism. The Archi-Stagnation Decade started; Duchies barely expanded, barely evolved, barely developed their welfare or economics and substantially relied on their own natural resources. On the other hand, the stagnation made nations of the archipelago focus on the internal policies, and thus, governments expanded in sizes and boosted such spheres as the law enforcement. Upheavals and turmoil plunged the municipalities into corruption.

1880's passed by, and the state of the Clyde Archipelago remained deplorable; civilians starved while the elites never went too far in their politics. And even so, Pillanderian Realm was under the occupation of Crella and served, primarily, as the area of taxation for the government of Crella. In order to centralize and hold the Realm stable, þhïlïpp von Hégrémmér decided to confiscate all the local business under the patronage and the control of the government, primarily, himself. Gold mining, sewing and miscellaneous heavy industry enterprises were taken away from their initiators, as well as the revenue.

The army, surprisingly, remained untouched and barely had any arrests or forced resignations, soldiers of the Reclamyde Battalion continued their duty post-civil war, even though the majority of the soldiers did not support the Clyde Dynasty.

On May 26th of 1885 three ministries of the Pillanderian Realm were established: the Ministry of Ethics and Culture, the Ministry of Economical Provision and the Ministry of Education.

Scent Coup and the Reclamyde Campaign

All mentioned, coupled with the Archi-Stagnation, created a synthesis of severe civil discontent within the Pillanderian Realm. The numbers of secret societies skyrocketed, each day police forces of the Realm arrested around 2-3 conspirators. On April 27th of 1887, in the city of Claudéťon within the occupied Pillanderian Realm, a very major anti-Crellian society, locally known as the Lééscéñť Régéncy, was formed by the small politicians of the old system of the Caspidian Realm, primarily servants of the Parliament and led by Géroḿé von Lééscéñť, a former federal-associated gold mine owner. In under a year, Leescent Regency gained confidence and affiliated itself with many members of the new government of the Realm, severely enforcing their influence within the underground extremist communities standing against þhïlïpp and his regime.

At once, þhïlïpp von Hégrémmér gave no attention to the abrupt rise of separatism within the nation. By 1899 the society of the Pillanderian Realm was on fire of separatist ideas. Harmoniously, followers of the movement, while remaining decentralized, thoroughly hid the presence of the Leescent within the regions, prior to August 5th of 1899. The day before, Leescent Regency held an underground secret meeting between 12 "curators" of the movement, during which a plan of a coup was decreed and initiated the next morning in the middle of Féndérolis.

At 12:46 (PCBT) a large-scale sabotage transpired on the streets of Fenderolis, three explosives went off, one of which severely damaged the Department of Territorial Selection of Fenderolis, killing 7 and wounding over 12. The Scent Coup started.

Department of Territorial Selection of Fenderolis, 1899

Two other explosions maintained consistent damage on the bridges in order to stop the cavalry. In the next 2 hours armed Leescent soldiers sieged the Aɗɗ-Crownér Palace of the city. The administration escaped the palace and wasn't caught. At 13:04 þhïlïpp ordered the detachments of the Reclamyde Battalions to attack the city and execute the rebels, however, he knew not, that the army was undermined as well; Chief-Commander Säñɗérs Cléméñtïñé was an undercover member of the Leecent. Reclamyde Battalions refused to follow an order and instead moved into Twildwen to help the second group of the rebels which was preparing at the time. At 13:11 bombs went off in Twildwen as well. Cornered þhïlïpp and Cällïstér boarded a royal convoy and fled the Pillanderian Realm. Crella Armed Unit entered the Realm instead, and Twildwen turned into a battlefield. Leescent soldiers swiftly joined the battles as the militia. The Reclamyde Campaign was initiated.

Northern Archipelago Alliance

The battles endured approximately for four days. On August 9th Duke Jéromé Lïlléy Läwréñcïo of Herlye, a semi Pillanderian Realm associated representative of an island Duchy, who was earlier spotted sympathizing the occupied Caspidian Realm, exposed his nature. Seven detachments of Herlye Coast Ground Forces were deployed in Twildwen in order to enforce the Reclamyde Battalion efforts, and thus, alliance between the Pillanderian Realm and the Duchy of Herlye was born. Historians to this day wonder of this tactical solution of Duke Läwréñcïo, presumably, he severely cared about the gold mines of the Realm and wished to take a portion of revenue in the aftermath of the battle, added up to his driven character and overall pro-Realm moods.

On August 10th, exhausted soldiers of the Crella Armed Unit retreated their forces from Twildwen, desiring to participate in another senseless war not. Many deserted. The Reclamyde Campaign was over, control of Twildwen was retrieved, and Pillanderian Realm became independent. Politicians of the new regime were replaced by the most useful members of the Leescent, the majority of þhïlïpp's reforms were withdrawn. The country started recovering losses in economical enterprise, recruiting entrepreneurs and providing subsidies for business and market. In the same time, Herlye locals engaged in heated communications with the Realm, demanding the Reclamyde to take the sovereignty of the Duchy under their patronage as well. A short campaign of meetings was held between the Duke and the Commander of the Reclamyde, at the time being the highest governmental persona.

Meanwhile, Scent Coup initiators exposed themselves to the public under the wing of their union, Silicolivér Agency. The compound of their membership barely went over 12 "agents", a formal leader of the agency was a member of the Leescent, Kuléé Dépérsoñ. On August 12th Silicolivér nominated Kulee as a Monarchy candidate, and negotiations with Säñɗérs Cléméñtïñé were held mere days later. In the course of multiple local conferences, Reclamyde command agreed to recognize Kuléé as a Monarch according to favorable conditions of the army, including a large subsidy. On August 14th, Kuléé Dépérsoñ ascended to the throne, becoming 3rd Monarch of the Realm and the first Monarch not represented by any particular dynasty, thus finishing the reign of dynasties and establishing the first ever Pillanderian political party; Silicolivér Party. The Kulééan Secretary Association (Kulééan Association) was formed as an independent advisory and delegative organ of the Monarch, consistent of prominent politicians, former members of the Leescent, Reclamyde representatives and Silicolivér members. Géroḿé von Lééscéñť was elected a legate of the Association. The Archi-Stagnation Decade was over.

On August 16th, Kuléé, representing the functional government of the Pillanderian Realm, passed the Royalist Parliament a legislature dedicated to the Duchy of Herlye, embodied by a Northpost Treaty he single-handedly formed. The voting was remarkably swift; in just a day the parliament passed the initiative further with the results of 71% being for, and 29% being against , and on August 15th The Kulééan Association approved their cooperation and firmly stood for the initiation of treaty conditions. In the second phase, the Association allocated a delegate team with organization's legate in order to contact Duke Läwréñcïo. In the shortest term possible, a Kulééan royal convoy had approached the Duchy of Herlye, and was granted entrance.

The signing of the Northpost Treaty, Fléurdélésé.

The 1st Archicap Summit was held on August 17th between the Monarch Dépérsoñ, his legate, and Duke Jéromé Lïlléy Läwréñcïo, dedicated to the adoption of the Northpost Treaty. Duke of Herlye was severely disappointed, as the treaty did not include the redistribution of Realm's local business revenue to Herlye, nor had any commercial offer. The treaty was, generally, tackled territorial conditions and collective security conditions between the states. Yet, Jéromé Läwréñcïo had no other choice but to sign the treaty, his Duchy was in danger; Duchy of Crella and Cenphil already deployed their troops at the borders in order to take revanche, and only a single order separated them from another war. At 18:39, on August 17th, Läwréñcïo signed the Northpost Treaty and followed the laws, formalized by it. The Northpost Treaty forced both sides to follow orders below:

  • Transitioning from a unitary monarchy into a dualistic constitutional state, both in territorial-administrative and legal terms, preserving sovereignty in relation to internal affairs but acting collectively in regards to external.
  • A single legislative organ.
  • An elected and independent government, shared systems of state administration, courts and justice.
  • An obligation to perform participation and contribution to the defense in the alliance in the event of a crisis.
  • Removal of formal border fortifications and military establishments within the area of 2 km from both sides.
The flag of the Northern Archipelago.

Areas of the Herlye and Pillanderian Realm were united. The Northern Archipelago was created, covering both territories entirely. With the adoption of collective security measures, members of the Alliance became the strongest in the region, which turned out into a counter-measure against the war between the Northern Alliance and other Duchies. Military presence was seriously enforced, which, honestly, bothered civilians a lot. Tensions between Duchies and the Alliance were sharply uneasy, but the escalation was not viewed and throughout the years the turmoil came to naught.

On September 27th the Caspillander Royalist Parliament entered the legislative body of Herlye under the Northpost Treaty and reformatted itself to a dualistic unicameral parliament. A decent amount of Herlye's politicians enrolled into the organ. Historically, from then on, the legislature grew severely independent from the government.

The fall of Replandia

On November 4th Replandian head, Osťér Altér died in the age of 74 without assigning a heir. Additionaly, economical isolation and provisional crisis of the Duchy left the population in deep apathy and irrelevance towards the politics, the government lacked size and staff. All combined, left Replandia no chance to survive any longer as an independent subject, and it naturally dissolved into "influence zones" of gold-mining companies, whereas the government itself was absent. People of Replandia immigrated to nearest states. There was also a major drawback to that; Replandia cultivated an official religion, Choïrc'éñ dañ oñ'lésm (English: Choirchionism) during its' existence. Education was deeply intertwined with the religion; 70% of former Replandian population was religious. This synergy gave a negative effect on the input: national radicalization, alienation from science, censorship, and essentially - extremists. Choircionism breeded extremist movements rapidly, and upon the abolition of Replandia, all religious fanatics gushed into such states as the Hillclaire, Stanburg, Concerstone, New-Cellon, and, of course, the Pillanderian Realm itself. One primary religious unification of the South became the Créscéñɗors Movement, but it was able to open up far later. Free territories of the former Duchy were quickly taken by the Reclamyde, and these lands entered the compound of the Northern Archipelago.

The fall of Coltrane

The conclusion of the 2nd Archicap Summit.

Following the fall of the Replandia, Coltrane officials, Duke Joshuä Bärré particularly, met critical failure to perform independent policy and remain on-float, the army was still unable to recover after the Summer War, the corruption devastated the economics, the Duchy barely had any natural resources, and overall suffered through hard times. All above led to a very difficult state of the Duchy. Bärré was a dying old man, and in order to not give his son a ravaged country, On December 21st of 1899, a 2nd Archicap Summit in regards to the abolition of the Duchy and association with the Realm was held under the initiative of the Coltrane. The summit barely concluded strifes; Coltrane was unable to negotiate into getting at least any advantages. The Summit was considered ineffective. Anyhow, Duke Bärré contacted Kuléé Dépérsoñ privately. After their long correspondence, Dépérsoñ agreed to take Bärré and his family under his patronage and grant them immunity in exchange for the vast territory of the Coltrane. On December 30th, Coltrane was abolished, and the Pillanderian Realm took the ownership upon the lands.

20th century

By 1900 Pillanderian Realm and the Duchy of Herlye managed to get along very well during their unity, despite the occasional disregard among the civil contingent. The ethnicity of Caspids was partially recovered. The policy of the Alliance efficiently held tense peace within the region. Herlye's navy inhabited another island to the East of Hillclaire. Officials of the Tellmerian Duchy made geographical expansions as well, occupying two islands in the West. In the same year, on January 21st, governments of the Capitaliment and smaller islands conditionally decreed to call the archipelago Clyɗé Archipelago, referring to the Pillan English, where the suffix "yde" served a meaning of "might". In the same year, the Ministry of Ethics and Culture was ordered to reinstate the official language of the Realm. The ministry started working on the early versions of the Modern Pillan Dialectic English.

Some political changes took off in the same year, such as the overall social democratization and softening of the laws, provided by the parliament's 1st Lydemore Bill. Additionally, on March 18th Reclamyde Battalions were reformed to fit the new standards. The uniform, essential gear and weaponry, insignia and structure were drastically changed. Elvinte-90 was invented by Frédérïck von Elvïñté in 1899, and by 1900 it started rapidly replacing old weaponry lines, such as muskets or rifles of the mid 19th century. Military pension was added, maximum age of service was cut to 55 years. Primary training camps emerged in the unused rural areas nearby Klymérton, Phillipsidé and Féndérolis. Headquarters of the Reclamyde was established in New Hunchblairé. On March 21st, Säñɗérs departed the commander's seat, replaced by the 31-year old Wïnsťoñ Cläusoñ, elected by the The Kulééan Association and the parliament. Parliament had also promoted a bill of allowing women in the rows of the soldiers of Reclamyde, seeking irrefutable success among other chairmen. The bill was accepted by the Association on April 11th. Distinct divisions consistent of men and women emerged within the forces of the Reclamyde Battalions.

Law enforcement also carried major changes; Enlisted Office was established in Twildwen on May 7th, holding and recruiting Royal Order Corps within the capital, preventing corruption and ensuring best gear and salaries. Influence of Reclamyde was entirely removed from the Corps, the police became less militarized. On June 28th the 3rd Archicap Summit was invoked by Kuléé Dépérsoñ and Jéromé Läwréñcïo, dedicated to the unfication of the police forces within the Northern Archipelago. Herlye's police worked, by the most part, independently at the time, occasionally going against plans of the Herlye Coast Ground Forces and sometimes even the government itself. The abolition would play into the hands of the Duchy, however until that day, Jéromé had no ground to resign the police of Herlye. The parliament was notified of the initiative. Chairmen of the dualistic parliament condemned and repelled the legislature, and the 3rd Summit was inconclusive. Nevertheless, distinct units of the Royal Order Corps were sent to Herlye regardless of the veto. Remarkably, this, and the following events became the trigger for the beginning of the Parliamentary Crisis a couple of months later.

The conditions worsened after the 1st Royal Election was held on July 9th of 1900, lasting total a week, being the fastest elections in the history of Pillanderia. The elections were concluded with Névillé þénshoré (despite the surname, not being a son of the first Monarch), a candidate of the Lééscéñť Democratic Group. His success was fueled by revanchist ideologists of the Scent Coup and new-era democrats. Yet, his trial is considered a questionable period of the Realm; he brought mistrust to the legislature and planted corruption. However, his investments in economy helped pharmacology and mining advance to the next level.

Parliamentary Crisis

Overall disrespected to the independent institutions was seeded all across the government, primarily sponsored by Névillé þénshoré.
