Philip André Andersson af Holandus (17 February 1967 – 24 March 2023) was a Svedonian politician and historian. Born into nobility as a member of the House of Holandus, Andersson went on to despise the concept of nobility. In 1983, he submitted a request to be excluded from the nobility. He went on to be elected Speaker of the newly-founded Legislature of Svedonia due to his progressive politics.
Assassination
On March 24 of the year 2023 at AMT 08:25:35, while Andersson was on a walk outside of the Building, two shots were fired at his arm and chest, respectively. One witness was Vidar Sjöberg, a taxi driver in the vicinity. At 08:25:50, Sjöberg called 112, hurriedly crying "There's a murder at Holandus!". The message was forwarded to an FRPI squad on visit, which happened to be close to the incident point. The assassin was identified, holding a handgun, near the intersection Alliansgatan-Hamnsavenyn, whom was arrested by the FRPI officers at 08:28:02, after a chase-by-foot down Hamnsavenyn. She was later identified as Alisa Sjöberg, the sister of the previously-mentioned taxi driver.
Ambulance accompanied Andersson to the Freista Hospital, but was later transferred to the hospital in Borås, his home-town, when it was clear the doctors couldn't save him. At 09:09:12, due to lung complications, he passed.
Aftermath
In the aftermath, the prime minister was, by Svedonian tradition, voted as the interim Head of State by the cabinet. The Speaker's role as head of the legislature was overtaken by Viktor Persson as Interim Speaker. Elections for a new speaker will be held on May 1st.
