The Miaphysite Orthodox Churches are a group of Christian churches adhering to Miaphysite Christology with a total of approximately 14 million followers. The Miaphysite Orthodox Churches are composed of two autocephalous churches: the Vaktrian Orthodox Church and the Pytabian Orthodox Church both of which originate and are centered in modern Terranihil. Togethere, they consider themselves to be the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ and that its bishops are the successors the apostles. The Miaphysite Orthodox Churches shared communion with the Romananyan Church before the Council of Chalcedon in 451, as well as with the Pytabian Church of the West until the Council of Ephesus in 431.
