Matthieu Cronig is an Icarisian politician and civil servant. He has served in multiple roles in various Ministries of the government and is currently serving as the State Minister from Avalon.

Early life and career

Cronig obtained a bachelor of science in economics and political affairs along with a master of business administration in business analytics in 2042. He received a law degree with a specialization in public policy in 2045. He began his public service career immeditately, working for four years as a business analyst in the Regulation Administration of Monetary Policy's (RAMP), Office of Economic and Business Development. He specifically worked in assessing development plans for his home state of Avalon's tourism industry. In 2049, he moved to the RAMP's Office of Intellectual Property, Industry, and Security as a litigator and business compliance officer. After just a year in the OIPIS, he transferred to be a Senior Analyst in the Office of Market Regulation and Security, assessing inefficiencies in regulation systems and policies. He left the government in 2052 and worked as a Senior Fellow at THINK TANK for two years. In 2054, he returned to the public sector as the Deputy Director of the Office of International Business and Economic Development within the Ministry of International Relations. In 2056, he became the Deputy Director of the Office of International Aid and Development. In 2058, he moved to serve as the Cabinet Liaison to the Director of the Office of Strategic Conflict, coordinating policy and action primarily between the Ministry of International Relations, Ministry of Defense, and the RAMP. He joined the Ministry of Defense in 2061 after being named Director of the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation. After serving three years he left public office again and served as a senior advisor to State Delegate Kimberly Alvey. In 2066, Cronig was named as the next Chairman of the Icarisian Federal Bank by RAMP Director Tommy Papillion.

Political career

In 2070, Cronig indicated to new RAMP Director Maksim Mytnik he did not want to stay in his role past his first four year term. President Papillion requested he stay but Cronig indicated his intention to run for public office and did not want to be renominated.
