The Maroto Botín Aerospace Corporation (Creeperian Spanish: Maroto Botín Corporación de Aeroespacial) simply called Maroto Botín and abbreviated as MB, is a major Creeperian aerospace manufacturing corporation and defense contractor formed by the merger of Maroto Aircraft and the Botín Aircraft in 1958. It has produced a number of well-known commercial aircraft such as the MB-8 and MB-11. The corporation is based at Miguel Cabañeras Gutiérrez International Airport near San Salvador, San Salvador, Creeperopolis.

History

Formation

Maroto Botín was formed on November 23, 1958, with the merger of the Maroto Aircraft Company, headed by Santiago Maroto Hidalgo, and the Botín Aircraft Company, headed by Daniel Botín Guevara. The two companies previously had held a duopoly over Creeperopolis' aerospace industry and, with government incentives, merged to form a single monopoly.

In 1962, the company released its first jointly created aircraft and also their first ever jet airliner, the Maroto Botín MB-8. Later that same year, the Maroto Botín MB-33 entered service with the Creeperian Armed Forces.

In 1978, Maroto Botín introduced the most widely used Creeperian military fighter, the Maroto Botín MB-23.

The company's most recent product is the Maroto Botín MB-13 jet airliner which entered service with Creeperian Airlines in May 2020.
