Malgish is the official language of Malgax and an official language in Greater Sacramento and is spoken by over 209 million people. Malgish is descended from Old Malgish and Central Ayreoshubic. Malgish originated in the third to fourth centuries as a method of creating a centralized, controlled, and easily learnt and written language that would unite the Kingdom of Malgax and formalize a distinct Malgan identity. This effort was successful, and Malgish soon absorbed and eventually killed off the numerous dialects and mannerisms of Old Malgish. Malgish has seen little change in it's general structure, though stem spellings and words have come into and fallen out of fashion as the languages over millennia-long history shows.
