Major-general (GMjr, Ladin: Generelmajer) is a military rank which is used by both the Tiroler Army and Rifles. The rank is superior to colonel, and subordinate to lieutenant field marshal. The equivalent rank in the Tiroler Navy is rear admiral, and air commodore in the Tiroler Aviation Corps. A major-general will typically command a regiment of around 1,600 men.
