The League's Defense Forces, abbreviated as the LDF, is the national military of The League. The League's Defense Forces was established on 25 May 2016 as the Armed Forces of the Republic and was officially made a division of The League of Conservative Nations Department of Defense on 27 June 2019.[2]

The League's Defense Forces is composed of 9 personnel as of 5 March 2021 and the serving General of the Defense Forces is Lyoa who has been serving since 5 March 2021. The League's Defense Forces have participated in several engagements, including the UCN–LCN War and the Wars of the Gentlemen's Coalition. The LDF resumed liberation, defending, and detag operations on 20 February 2021 and joined Libcord on 21 February 2021.[3][4]

History

The Armed Forces of the Republic (LCNAF) was established on 25 May 2016 by Quebecshire.[1] It was primarily managed by Andrew Du and Quebecshire for most of its history. In 2017 and 2016, the LCNAF was known to operate on a small scale on Libcord and within FORGE.

On 13 February 2021, the Armed Forces of the Republic received new medals, new insignia, and new ranks.[5] On 17 February 2021, the Consulate of the Republic that The League of Conservative Nations was "revitalizing" the Armed Forces of the Republic for "a new era of function and inter-regional participation" with Libcord.[6][7]

The LCNAF is committed to the ideals of defending and regional sovereignty and we hope to be able to use our resources and the available manpower that we are able to prepare to further these goals. We have spoken to First Warden Tim-Opolis of The Order of the Grey Wardens about restoring our presence in Libcord and have decided to begin allowing new entries into the LCNAF today.

— Quebecshire on behalf of the Consulate of the Republic and the Defense Administration, 17 February 2021[6]

The LCNAF officially joined Libcord on 21 February 2021.[4]

On 22 March 2021, the Armed Forces of the Republic was renamed to the League's Defense Forces (LDF) following the regional transfer program.

In the historical system of ranking, promotion was earned either by direct promotion by the General of the Defense Forces or by naturally gaining "points" through participating in liberation, support, defense, and detag operations.[1] Liberation operations gained an individual 1.5 "points," support and defense operations gained an individual 1 "point," and detag operations gained an individual .5 "points."[1]
