José Joaquín Gutiérrez y Rubalcava (17 May 1799 – 12 March 1876) was a Creeperian Naval officer who served as the Captain General of the San Carlos Islands from 1833 until his death in 1876. He defeated Ajaki forces during Kulakov's War of 1836 to 1837. His grandson, Antonio Gutiérrez Avendaño, later became Captain General of the San Carlos Islands between 1902 and 1926.
