Johan Apollo (born November 11, 1978), also known as Jo or Pollo from his friends, is a Karimunese politician who is the 12th and current vice president of Karimun. Elected in the July 2019 general election as the 3rd vice president not to come from an elite political or military background, he was the owner of Express, one of Karimun's coffee maker before he passed it to his sister, Burduna Apollo in 2019 after he was elected as the vice president following his partner's action, Thamrin Edelweiss who also passed his company to his family relatives, he didn't hold any important positions in any organization before he was elected except being a member in the Karimun Coffee Organization and the Karimun Association of Youth Businessman (KAYB) which is different from his partner who held several significant positions in organizations before.

He was raised in Lowogono, East Sulawesi in a middle-class family. His father, Duncan Apollo was a farmer and owner of several coffee field in Lowogono while his mother, Emelia Vatruz Apollo died when Johan was three years old. Johan attended a public school in Giovanni and attended in the Giovanni Political Science Institute in Giovanni in 1995 where he met Esme Paradise, who he married three years later, and a lot of future politicans, he graduated at age of 20 in 1990 three weeks before his dad died leaving him with several heritance, he immediately left Giovanni leaving his city life and adapted his new life in the rural area of Lowogono, he used all of his heritance to build coffee processing plant and buy a couple lots of land to expand his dad's coffee business.

In 2002, he rebranded his dad's coffee business to Express and began exploring the city coffee consumption. In July 2011 when several businesses in Karimun was struggling under the new taxation law, he joined in a protest marching from Karimun Stock Exchange to Aiden Bank, the Javan Central Bank after that protest, he joined the Karimun Association of Youth Businessman (KAYB) in early 2012.

In November 2018, he attended a meeting with several businessman including several Labour resprentative who are a member of the political party named Labour Congress, when Johan forwaded a proposal and started his speech in front of men and women, his proposal attracted the Labours respresentative, at the end he was asked to join the party which he denied saying he didn't have any interest in leaving his coffee business to join politics even though he is graduate from the Giovanni Political Science Institute making him a very good politican candidate.

Fast-forward in seven months, several congress members contacted him again and he reluctantly joined, his name was in the several surveys as well as Jamie Parapora and Thamrin Edelweiss. The congress finally forwaded him and Thamrin as a Labour Presidential Candidate, he was losing in the first debate, and the second one as well, his survey was dropping and even touched 6.7 % popularity in several news agencies, he and his partner announced an intention to back out from the ballot which made them the center of attention, people began supporting him and reading his campaign, some started flocking his campaign branches in several provinces to throw their support behind him, his popularity jumped to 21.1 % in a week but his future wasn't bright, he had an argument with his party colleagues resulting him to cut his relation with Labour Congress and announcing to run independently, fast-forward to the election day, he won with 57 % of the votes against Social Change party.
