The High Mosque of Qonqordia is the largest mosque in Qonqordia. It is located in the downtown district across the street from the Terranca Capitol Building surrounded by gardens. It is also the mosque regulated to give the call to prayer in the downtown district. The mosque was constructed in 1988 after a public works project was approved for the city. It was intended to give the city an iconic mosque as many in the area had complained of there being a lack of such.
