Gjorkan–Ajak War, also known as the Ajaki Invasion of Gjorka, was a conflict fought between Ajakanistan and Gjorka from 1754 to 1761. In 1754, Ajaki King issued a declaration declaring all Khoroshiyans as subjects of the Ajaki Kingdom and immediately claiming all lands inhabited by them as territories of Ajakanistan, with the majority of this land being located along the Ajaki–Gjorkan Border. Ajakanistan began an invasion into southwestern Gjorka (modern-day Rosemont) in order to capture the region and force Gjorka to cede the aforementioned border territories.
The initial Ajaki invasion was largely successful with Gjorkan resistance mainly rising in the form of un-trained and ill-equipped settler militias which had only been formed to fight Khoroshiyan resistance to Gjorkan rule. The Ajaki invasion captured much of southwestern Gjorka, including easily defeating a hastily prepared Gjorkan army in September, all the way to the region's capital of Baltimore by October. However, the Ajaki army failed to capture the city before the onset of winter and was forced to enter into a siege of the city, allowing the Gjorkan Kingdom additional time to mobilize a proper army.
