Gagium's Experiences with Gambling

Gagium has been accused of having a gambling addiction after the Leaguecredit was introduced by the Consulate Central Bank. This is largely because of Gagium's several attempts since August 9 to acquire Leaguecredits through either blackjack or roulette. Many of these attempts have failed. However, some of these attempts have succeeded, resulting in Gagium gaining thousands of Leaguecredits before gambling them all away again.

On August 9, Gagium took out a loan of 10,000 Leaguecredits from the Consulate in an attempt to gain back his original 10,000 Leaguecredits that he had lost. However, he lost the entirety of this loan and was only able to repay it after being paid by the Consulate for designing Leaguecredit banknotes and Paleocacher for designing a coat of arms. After the loan, several LCNers have attempted to intervene to stop Gagium's gambling addiction, but to no avail.

Gagium has also spent a total of 2,000 Leaguecredits on buying two chickens to attempt to profit through cockfighting. However, both of his chickens died shortly after buying them and he only made a total of 100 Leaguecredits through cockfighting. Because of all this, Gagium claims to be the unluckiest and the worst gambler in the LCN. He believes that the table below proves this.

In an attempt to devise better gambling strategies as well as track his gambling win/loss ratio, Gagium has recorded several of his gambling attempts.

On August 13, Gagium gambled away over 100,000 Leaguecredits, going from being 4th on the leaderboard with a net worth of above 50,000 Leaguecredits to having a net worth of -63,000 Leaguecredits.

August 13 Crisis

On August 13, Gagium started the day with roughly 32,000 Leaguecredits. Through gambling, he was able to get over 50,000, becoming fourth on the leaderboard. However, through bad luck, Gagium lost a series of gambles that eventually led to him having a net worth of close to 0 Leaguecredits. To try to make back his money, Gagium took out two loans from CFAC totaling over 57,000 Leaguecredits. Gagium, however, lost all the loan money through gambling. This led to the Consulate forcibly taking the amount he owed CFAC (66,300 Leaguecredits) from his account, which resulted in Gagium having a negative balance.

Thanks to several donations , Gagium actively using the commands to try to gain money, and Gagium creating commissioned art for others, Gagium only had a negative balance for less than 24 hours. Gagium reached a non-negative balance at 3:55 AM on August 14, after Spode Humbled Minions donated Gagium 15,237 Leaguecredits.

August 14 Gambles

Spode attempted to scam Gagium by notarizing a loan with the Consulate of "17,000". After the Consulate notarized the loan, Spode gave Gagium 17,000 Dank Memer Coins. Gagium complained to Quebecshire, who forcibly removed 17,000 Leaguecredits from Spode's bank account and gave it to Gagium. Spode gambled the money he still had in his wallet (while having -17,000 in his bank) and lost, resulting in Spode having a negative net worth.

Unfortunately, Gagium gambled away nearly the entire 17,000 Leaguecredit loan Spode had given him, leaving Gagium once again poor. However, recalling the success of The Black Hat Organization after he took out a loan of 90,000 Leaguecredits on August 13, Gagium was granted a similar loan after requesting one from CFAC. Placing the entire loan amount on black in roulette, Gagium managed to win the money and repay both Spode and CFAC, surprising the people who were in VC at the time.

After purchasing a 10,000 $LC investment from the store, Gagium gambled away his profits from the loan and again had a net worth of nearly 0 Leaguecredits. This prompted him to take another 90,000 $LC loan from CFAC, which he again used to bet on black in roulette. Gagium won the loan and repaid CFAC 99,000 $LC, which left him with 81,000 Leaguecredits. This made Gagium the wealthiest person in the LCN.

Gagium soon after gambled away the vast majority of the money he made from this. Gagium took out a 100,000 Leaguecredit loan from CFAC at around 11:00 PM and gambled it all, resulting in Gagium having a balance of around -110,000 Leaguecredits.

Legacy

After the gambling-related events of August, the Leaguecredit would experience significant devaluation due to inflation as a result of the September 2020 LCN Economic Crisis. This event can be attributed to Gagium's gambling habits, as his loans from Creeperopolis and Kanjuura were used to win successive gambles, resulting in over 3.2 million leaguecredits being added to the economy. Gagium would later work with Kanjuura and Creeperopolis to give out loans to others for the purpose of gambling, causing further inflation.

During the later phases of the League's economy, when the wealthiest individuals' net worth far exceeded a quadrillion leaguecredits, Gagium was locked in a battle to control the economy with Quebecshire. A key part of this battle involved loaning others large amounts of leaguecredits in a similar fashion to the 2020 LCN Economic Crisis; if they won, the loaner would profit, while the loaner would suffer no losses if they lost. This method was used to greatly inflate Quebecshire and Gagium's net worths.
