Description
Español: Retrato de Juan Vázquez de Coronado (1523-1565), adelantado y conquistador español, conocido por su papel en la Conquista de Costa Rica. Pintura original de Tomás Povedano de Arcos (1847-1943), pintor español radicado en Costa Rica. La obra original se encuentra en la Casa España, San José de Costa Rica. La fotografía original, también en la Casa España, se tomó en 1934 para una conferencia sobre el personaje, dictada en la Casa España, de fotógrafo desconocido, y apareció en el diario costarricense La Tribuna en 1935. Este archivo ha sido escaneado por mi persona a partir de dicho periódico, que se encuentra en el Archivo Nacional de Costa Rica.
