The Federal Forces of Eleutherios (FFE) are the armed forces of Eleutherios. The FFE is responsible for the protection of Eleutherios, safeguarding peace and security, and defending her allies against threats. It consists of three branches, the Federal Army, Federal Navy, and the Federal Air Corps. It is supported by the Ministry of Defense and under the overall command of the Commander of Federal Forces, currently General Herakles III.
The principal tasks expected of the FFE is to provide Eleutherios a combat capable force to defend Eleutherian territory and interests, the territory and interests of her allies, and uphold international peace and security. The FFE may also assist domestically in disaster recovery or humanitarian aid missions.
The Ministry of Defense is responsible for setting defense policy, defining priorities for the FFE to focus its efforts on, including a global threat index. Eleutherios follows an all-hazards approach to national security, which brings various national and local level assets together to respond to all risks to national security, whether internal or external, human or natural.
The Commander of Federal Forces is the military leader of the Federal Forces, appointed by the Ministry of Defense, which is a civilian led organization. Defense Ministers are appointed by the Federal Chancellor and confirmed by a Senate vote, like all other Ministry heads.
Foreign Relations
Defense Commitment to Jackson
As of August 21, 2022, and the ratification of the Nemeth Accords, the Federal Forces are committed to the protection of Jacksonian access to the Andaluzian Sea. In the defense clause, the FFE is permitted to establish a training contingent at Benice Air Field for training and liaison purposes. Pursuant to this obligation, an advance team of officers and command staff has been sent to Jackson, with planned training rotations to consist of a company-sized element will begin at a time determined by the liaison team.
