Origin
The FCN Dollar was created with the creation of the Federation of Conservative Nations. However, the FCN Dollar was greatly legitimized with the establishment of the Federative Central Bank under the Presidency of Gagium sometime after he invited the 'UnbelievaBoat' bot onto the FCN discord. The FCN Dollar was based in the #federative-central-bank channel.
History
The FCN Dollar was heavily used during the existence of the Federation of Conservative Nations. During the existence of the region, the FCN dollar was used for several things, including a lottery, FCN music nights, payment for government officials, and more. Though the FCN Dollar and the Federative Central Bank originally existed outside of legislation and was purely maintained by the office of the President, several bills have been passed by the Senate regulating the FCN Dollar and the bank. Originally, it was illegal to steal FCN dollars from government officials. However, the Open Season Bill changed this.
There were roles that you could purchase with the FCN Dollar, including a role that allowed you to gain access to the President's private office for $100,000.
It has been used for genuine reasons but it has also been used for shady dealings.[citation needed]
Controversies
Early Manipulation
In the early days of the FCN Dollars, certain government members (especially Gagium) would attempt to commit crimes to gain FCN Dollars. However, sometimes this would result in fines being given to the government official by the Bank. This wasn't an issue however, as the government members would then use the bot to give themselves back the money that they had been fined. As a result of this, the FCN Senate passed the Cheater Cheater Chickean Eater Bill, written by New Waldensia. The bill implemented a 50% fine for each instance of abusing the bot by giving themselves money after a failed crime. However, it is alleged that this law was bypassed by Gagium and others, who still used the bank to give themselves money.[citation needed]
Furbish Islands Bribery
Furbish Islands demanded a bribe of 500,000 FCN Dollars to hand over the medals to Creeperopolis before FCN Awards 3.[citation needed]
Creeperopolis and Gagium Embezzlement
On August 6, 2020, witnesses alleged seeing Gagium and Creeperopolis embezzling 1e+102 FCN Dollars each.[citation needed]
When presented with the allegations and the alleged photo, Creeperopolis responded by saying, "It clearly says that the name of the person who did it is 'Not Creeperopolis,' thus, it was not me."
Later that day, witnesses claimed Creeperopolis embezzled ∞ FCN Dollars.[citation needed] Following this, Gagium had reportedly attained a net worth of ∞ FCN Dollars as well. It is unclear where he got this money from, though sources claimed he extorted it from the bank.
