The Esclaveta Genocide (Creeperian: Genocido de Esclaveta), also known as the Great Massacre (Esclavetan: ᓬᐕᑯᐅ ᓄᐅᐃ ᓬᐕᐊ; pronounced as Luku Nui Loa), was a series of massacres and atrocities committed by Creeperian soldiers against Native San Carlos Islanders in Esclaveta during the Esclaveta War of 1388 to 1401. The genocide is usually dated to between 1392 to 1401, when Pedro Gutiérrez Valdivia was Captain General of the San Carlos Islands. Far less such massacres occurred from 1388 to 1392 when Cristóbal Colón Cámarillo was Captain General, and as such, historians have dated the genocide to after his death. An estimated 18,000 Natives died out of a population of around 44,000 Natives, a figure of 41 percent of the total population of Esclaveta.
