The Elkton Society is a fraternal organization founded in the Krystallic Empire in the 1480s with its roots in Glaskarnan nationalism; specifically in Vassa and Germaeic nationalism. These nationalist ideologies were somewhat unknown or unestablished until the formation of the Elkton Society upon which they skyrocketed in popularity. The Elkton Society was one of the primary motivators in the fall of the Krystallic Empire and the formation of the unified state of the United States of Germaeia. A key theme of the Elkton Society member's ideology was anti-Volnerianism but also anti-Valsa and anti-Cirrelianism. Focused on race and ethnicity being key indicators of status, success and societal formation, the early Elkton Society operated as a hate group against who they deemed "unpure".
Modern Elkton Society members disavow nationalism based on ethnicity, but espouse heavy state-based nationalism and unity. The members continue to be uniquely tied to Jursanity while much of the continent is no longer.
History
The ELkton Society grew out of a nationalistic fervor within Zallania that had existed for some time. The pride of being Zallanian being in the rural working class clashed with the urbanization and centralization of the other states within the Krystallic Empire's Western Semi-Autonomous District.
In 1483, 21 year old swine farmer Ennis Ziegler (Edzard I) began speaking in the public square in ____. He began speaking about rural advocacy, more rights for workers, and remaining decentralized. He spoke about Zallanian independence, Zallanian pride, and the inpurity of others. He gained a following and in 1485 he formed the Elkton Society.
