Democratic Republic of Krystallum v. Everett Lee Rose IV was a court case in which court decided Everett Lee Rose IV had not violated the 19__ Union Protection and Regulatory Measures Resolution (UPRAM) of 19__.

The government of Krystallum filed charges against Everett Lee Rose IV asserting he had illegally donated financial contributions the Automotive Union of Krystallum (AUK) campaign of union president Dave Davidson. Davidson's campaign for union president was heavily in favor of corporate interests and Rose's donations to his campaign secured the election for him.

UPRAM states four basic assertions: -Allows for labor unions to represent and uphold the best interests of workers, of whom are members of the union -Empowers labor unions to act as a regulatory oversight vehicle for the well being of workers -Ensures labor unions’ rights to negotiate as an intermediary between workers and businesses without business interference or attempts to circumvent oversight -Limits the actions of those who represent exclusively the interests of the business to interfere with the union oversight and negotiation process with their speech, administration, or finances.

The government's argument was that by donating financially to Dave Davidson's union presidential campaign, Rose was directly using finances to benefit exclusively the interests of the business (Abbott Motors).

The court found that Rose's financial contributions were not in fact on behalf of his company, but on behalf of his personal union membership and interests in union politcs. Rose's involvement in the AUK went back decades, his friendship with Davidson, and his testimony that he acted as an independent individal and not on behalf of his company or with official company funds. The court maintained that while Rose's donations and support for Davidson might prove to be unethical, they were not illegal according to the law's verbiage.

The case set precedent of upholding citizen's rights to financial independence from oversight in political donations. This changed with the ___ Act of 19__ which established the Krystallic Election Board and instituted regulations on financial contributions to elections and political advocacy.
