The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Creeperopolis – Free Combat Forces (Creeperian: Frente Democrático para la'Liberación de Creeperópolis – Fuerzas de Combate Libres, FDLC–FCL) is an armed rebel group active in central Lyoa. Opposed to the government of Creeperopolis, the group formed from the remnants of the Free Creeperian Army that splintered in mid-2020. It was created through a merger of ex-ELC factions and certain ex-Lyoan fighters who refused to demobilize at the end of the Second Lyoan Civil War.

Dispositions at Merger

The FDLC was formed by a merger of Free Creeperian Army elements under Eliécer Ubico Ayala, ex-Revolutionary Restoration Front militants who had become dissatisfied with the movement's direction, various independent ex-ELC militias, and dissidents of the Lyoan Revolutionary Command Council. At the time of the merger, anti-Creeperian forces were scattered across Lyoa due to the aftermath of Operation Banana. History

The FDLC was formed in September 2020 as a merger of a number of ex-GPRCE groups and Lyoan insurgents. The various units that make up the group congregated around the Kazima-Ilebo border, while some congregated in Mitende. The presence of Eliécer Ubico Ayala was not noted in the group when it was formed. Instead, the group is being led by Colonel Samián Alcabú Molina, who serves as the commander of the armed wing, the Free Combat Forces, and Major Isaías Arias Tejedor, who serves as the political leader. After the announcement of its creation in late September, the Lyoa National Defense Force attacked the FDLC along the Kazima-Ilebo border. The FDLC denied the attack had taken place on their social media accounts.

Allegations of war crimes

The FDLC has been alleged to have committed various war crimes in areas under their control. These include extortion, rape, murder, looting, and recruitment of child soldiers. The University of Tigera's Conflict Analysis Department labels the FDLC as "one of the largest recruiters of underage fighters in the Lyoan conflict". Numerous abuses against the local population by the group have been reported over the short time of its activity in Lyoa.
