The Nationalist Creeperian Catholic Royal Initiative and the Pro-Fatherland Front of Unification,[note 1] more commonly known as the Creeperian Initiative or the Initiative, and abbreviated as the IRCCN y la'FPPU or the IC, is the ruling and sole legal political party of Creeperopolis. The Initiative was established in October 1949 following the conclusion of the Creeperian Civil War by the victorious Catholic Imperial Restoration Council (Imperial Council), merging the various pre-war right-wing political parties into one. As of 2021, the Initiative has more than 137 million members, making it the largest political party in the world. José Sáenz Morales is the current Secretary of the Initiative.

The Initiative was founded by Creeperian Emperor Romero II to unify the various factions of the Imperial Council following the civil war. The parties merged into the Initiative included the National Conservative Party (PCN), the Catholic Royalist Party (PRC), and the Creeperian Pro-Fatherland Front (FPPC), the three political parties which made up the loose Creeperian Conservative Coalition (CCC). Following the Creeperian annexations of Atlántida and Castilliano, the Conservative Party (PC) and the Castillianan Coalition of Autonomous Rights (CCDA) were also merged into the Initiative. Throughout the late-1900s, the party was the dominant force in Creeperian politics, mostly ruling by decree through the Cortes Generales. After the 2003 coup d'état, however, the party's power has been significantly curbed by the Creeperian Armed Forces, which is now the dominant force in politics, due to the party's support of the deposed government of Emperor Alfonso VI. Party leadership was purged following the coup and reorganized to support Emperor Alexander II and Minister of Defense Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez. The party now serves a mostly formal role within politics, but continues to hold significant influence in everyday life.

Romerism is the party's primary ideology. Romerism consists of monarchist, conservative, anti-communist, and many other right-wing tenants. The party's platform is defined by "The Six Fundamentals", its manifesto and founding document. Its official religion is Creeperian Catholicism, and the party also supports National Catholicism, the belief that the Creeperian Catholic religion should dominate everyday life and serve a significant role in politics. Additionally, the party is fiercely anti-Atheist and anti-Islamic. The Initiative is universally labeled as a far-right political party, and serves as the de facto leader of the International Patriotic League, an international organization of far-right political parties. It has also been described as being totalitarian and fascistic in nature.

Creeperian law mandates that membership in the Creeperian Initiative be mandatory to hold any government position. Additionally, the Initiative has various wings, including the Romerist Students (ESROM), the Young Creeperans (JÓCRE), the Society of Romerist Women (SMR), the Romerist Nationalist Front (FNR), and the Workers' Romerist Organization (OTR). The party also operates a newspaper, the Noticias de la'Iniciativa, and the Channel 10 television news channel. Since 1952, it has also been an official sponsor of the Liga Imperial.

Name

The party's full and official name is the Nationalist Creeperian Catholic Royal Initiative and the Pro-Fatherland Front of Unification (CreeperianCreeperian: Ինիծիատիվա Րեալ Ծատօլիծո Ծրեեպերիանո Նածիոնալիստա յ լա'Ֆրենտե Պրո-Պատրիա դե Փնիֆիծածիօն; Creeperian – Iberic: Iniciativa Real Católico Creeperiano Nacionalista y la'Frente Pro-Patria de Unificación), and is abbreviated IRCCN y la'FPPU (ԻՐԾԾՆ յ լա'ՖՊՊՓ). The party's long name was selected in an attempt to encompass the various ideologies and positions which make up the party, and to resemble the names of the political parties which merged to form the party; "Nationalist" represents the National Conservative Party (PCN), "Catholic Royal" represents the Catholic Royalist Party (PRC), and "Pro-Fatherland Front" represents the Creeperian Pro-Fatherland Front (FPPC).

Due to the length of the name, the party is commonly known as simply the Creeperian Initiative, or even more simply, The Initiative, and is abbreviated as IC. Some foreign organizations and nations have sometimes referred to the party as the Romerist Party or the Romerist Initiative to better represent what the party represents while simultaneously shortening the long name.
