The Creeperian Armed Forces (Creeperian Spanish: Fuerzas Armadas Creeperiano, abbreviated FAC) are the military forces of Creeperopolis. The Armed Forces consist of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Imperial Guard, and National Intelligence Directorate.

History

Creeperian Crusade

On February 8, 1231, King Alfonso I declared independence for Creeperopolis from the Caliphate of Deltino. With his declaration of independence began the Creeperian Crusade and the Creeperian Army and Creeperian Imperial Guard were established to defend the newly established kingdom from Muslim aggression. The Creeperian Navy was later formed on April 16, 1301. The three branches were essential in the sieges of Almadinat Almuqadasa, Shata' Albahr, Alshshati, and Alssahil.

Post-Crusade

After the Creeperian Crusade, the three branches continued to see action against the Deltinians in the Deltinian War and Creeperian Peasants' War, and against Protestants in the Three Years' War, Ten Years' War, and Twenty Years' War. The army also partook in the Honduran Genocide of 1535 during the reign of Miguel V. Miguel V and his successor, Miguel VI, were toppled by the army in 1555 and the Imperial Guard was massacred.

Branches

Army

The Creeperian Army (Creeperian Spanish: Ejército Creeperiano) is the land warfare service branch of the Creeperian Armed Forces. It is one of the four uniformed services of Creeperopolis and is designated as the Army of Creeperopolis in the Creeperian Constitution. The Army was formed during the Creeperian Crusade in 1231 and continues to serve Creeperopolis. The Army has 3,500,000 active duty soldiers. The Army is headed by the Chief Field Marshal.

Navy

The Creeperian Navy (Creeperian Spanish: Armada Creeperiano) is the sea warfare service branch of the Creeperian Armed Forces. It is one of the four uniformed services of Creeperopolis and is designated as the Navy of Creeperopolis in the Creeperian Constitution. The Navy has 750,000 active duty soldiers. The Navy is headed by the Chief Admiral.

Air Force

The Creeperian Air Force (Creeperian Spanish: Fuerza Aerea Creeperiano) is the air warfare service branch of the Creeperian Armed Forces. It is one of the four uniformed services of Creeperopolis and is designated as the Air Force of Creeperopolis. The Air Force has 600,000 active duty soldiers. The Air Force is headed by the Chief General.

Imperial Guard

The Creeperian Imperial Guard (Creeperian Spanish: Guarda Imperial Creeperiano) is the air warfare service branch of the Creeperian Armed Forces. It is one of the four uniformed services of Creeperopolis and is designated as the Imperial Guard of Creeperopolis. The Imperial Guard has 150,000 active duty soldiers. The Imperial Guard is headed by the Chief Guard.

Emblems

National Intelligence Directorate

Emblem of the DINA.

The Dirreción de Inteligencia Nacional (National Intelligence Directorate), abbreviated DINA, is the secret police of Creeperopolis and its vassals. The DINA is often considered to be a part of the Creeperian Armed Forces but the government officially states that it is not. The DINA is headed by the Chief of the DINA who is also the Minister of Defense.

The DINA is notorious inside and outside of Creeperopolis for its human rights abuses. Its record during the civil war is marked by uncountable cases of torture and execution without a trial. No DINA agents have ever been taken to court for war crimes or crimes against humanity. The DINA is also believed to be one of the most, if not the, most corrupt government agency of Creeperopolis. Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez has become one of the most powerful men in Creeperopolis due to his leadership of the Army and the DINA, and he uses his essentially unchecked power to carry out whatever he wishes through the DINA without consequences for the human rights violations committed.

The DINA continues its extensive human rights violations, to, in the words of Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez:

"[E]radicate all traces of Communism, Atheism, Senvarian and Sonsatepanian nationalism, and any form anti-Creeperian, anti-Catholic, or anti-Fatherland behavior, thoughts, and actions to preserve Creeperopolis and its prosperity."
