The Chupabaca (Ճփպաբածա; translated literally as "cow-sucker" from the Creeperian chupar for "to suck" and baca for "cow") is a cryptid supposedly living in Creeperopolis. Its first mentioning was in 1512 during the Twenty Years' War and sightings have continued to the present. Sightings continue in central and southern Creeperopolis.

Name and etymology

The name Chupabaca derives from Creeperian word chupar meaning "to suck" and the word baca meaning "cow," as the creature is mostly known to suck and drain the blood of cows, however, it has also been claimed and reported to have drained the blood of goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, and other livestock. It is claimed that the Chupabaca drinks the blood of animals as its primary source of nutrition.

History

The first sighting of a Chupabaca was reported in 1512 during the Twenty Years' War. Protestant soldiers under Mauricio Gütán Fejas reported seeing creatures attack local cows in the countryside of San Luís. The report listed 23 dead bloodless cows as victims of an "unknown killer." The soldiers coined the name Chupabaca. Commanding officers dismissed the story and believed that the villagers killed the cows to prevent the soldiers from utilizing them for food and milk, and thus, had the villagers, numbering 55, massacred. The report survived the war and remains in the collection of the San Salvador Museum of Creeperian History, confirming the authenticity of the story and massacre, but it does not explain the reported sighting.

In 2008, a man named José Rosuelo Tigurón claimed on Shichan that he had captured a Chupabaca alive and that he was keeping it at a pet. Fellow Shichan users demanded him to post pictures of the Chupabaca that he claimed that he had in captivity to verify that he is telling the truth. After two months of never following up on his initial post, and after users saw that he was continuing to post on other Shichan boards, a group of five men tracked down his location and broke into his home. When they held Rosuelo Tigurón at gunpoint, he confessed his story was false, and the five men shot him twenty-seven times, killing him. The five men were arrested by the Creeperian Imperial Police and each was sentenced to life imprisonment. The case has subsequently been called the "Chupabaca murder."

Appearence

Witnesses have stated that the creature looks like dog or coyote-like creature. Reports have often conflicted with each other, either claiming that the creature was hairy or hairless. It has been reported to be around 3 to 4 pies (2.74 to 3.66 feet; 0.84 to 1.12 meters) long and that the creature seems to always be emaciated in appearance. Zoologists have explained that most reported sightings of Chupabacas are most likely mistaken identifications of stray dogs or coyotes with rabies, resulting in the emaciated and sometimes hairless appearances.
