The Creeperian Financial Assistance Corporation, abbreviated as CFAC, and previously known as the Calamarian Financial Assistance Corporation, was a private organization in The League whose primary service is granting loans to private individuals. The corporation conducts its business through the Consulate Central Bank and exchanges loans in the Leaguecredit (LC), the official currency of The League.

The corporation was founded by Calamari in August 2020, who later transferred ownership of CFAC to Creeperopolis in late-August 2020. From May 2021 until the company's dissolution, Creeperopolis has held total ownership of the company. After 16 September 2020, the corporation did not grant a loan and ceased operations, but it continued to exist as a legal entity. The company was officially dissolved on 1 January 2022 after the Consulate Central Bank was abolished by the Consulate of the Republic.

In late-August 2020, CFAC was implicated with the LCN Mafia in illegally attaining contraband through a covert operation known as Operation Tim which had been occurring for about half a month. The corporation was given immunity by the Consulate of the Republic in exchange for handing over information regarding the operation.

History

The Calamarian Financial Assistance Corporation (CFAC) was established on 11 August 2020 by entrepreneur Calamari, two days after the Leaguecredit was adopted as the official currency of The League. Upon its establishment, CFAC became the first financial business in the history of The League.

On 12 August 2020, CFAC was declared to be tax exempted by the Consulate of the Republic.[2]

On 30 August 2020, CFAF ownership was transferred to Creeperopolis and was renamed to the Creeperian Financial Assistance Corporation.[3]

CFAF ceased to exist on 1 January 2022 after the Consulate Central Bank was abolished.

Marketing and advertising

The Creeperian Financial Assistance Corporation is primarily advertised as a fair loaning firm in the Consulate Central Bank. Calamari and Creeperopolis are commonly seen in the Consulate Central Bank offering loans to individuals, most of whom are either poor or have gambling addictions.[citation needed]

CFAC has been successful enough to enrich the CEO into the top ten wealthiest citizens, despite Calamari receiving significantly less in pensions than the other 9 members.

— Calamari, 13 August 2020

We have witnessed a common man being elevated to the heights of wealth all thanks to the opportunities CFAC provides. This is clear evidence of the good CFAC strives for and the prosperity one can achieve by taking a loan from us.

— Calamari, 13 August 2020, on John growing from 5,000 to 275,224 Leaguecredits.[5]

Controversies

Gagium incident

On 13 August 2020, Gagium gambled away History l black.png 50,000 of his own money through gambling on blackjack. He then requested a loan from the Calamarian Financial Assistance Corporation for History l black.png 21,000. He negotiated a deal for History l black.png 21,000 with a 10% upfront interest rate with 5% interest every day. He then proceeded to gamble it all away via blackjack. He then requested another loan for History l black.png 36,000, which was negotiated to a History l black.png 36,000 loan with a 20% upfront interest rate with 10% interest every day. He then proceeded to gamble away the 36,000.

The Consulate Central Bank intervened and returned History l black.png 66,300 to the Calamarian Financial Assistance Corporation, putting Gagium into History l black.png 66,300 of debt. The Consualte then seized his Council Delegate Estate after he attempted to sell it to Creeperopolis for History l black.png 62,000 and after he attempted to sell it to Karimun earlier in the day for History l black.png 17,000 and History l black.png 22,000.[6]

Gagium singlehandedly deflated the currency through his gambling.[7]
