The Association of Petroleum Exporting Nations (ANEP) (Quebecshirite: Association des nations exportatrices de pétrole) is an international organization composed of several of Terraconserva's largest petroleum producers and exporters. It was founded in 1964 in Minaltar by Reykanes, Salisford, and Terranihil, and its headquarters has been located in Ampez, Tirol since 1968, as a neutral meeting ground for its member nations.

ANEP was founded to promote the interests of nations with significant oil production and exportation and to protect sovereignty over their oil. Its member nations account for a significant portion of global oill production and proven oil reserves, giving it major influence on global oil prices. ANEP has been characterized as a cartel that cooperates to reduce market competition.

Current ANEP members are Reykanes, Salisford, and Terranihil. Morova was a member from 1989 until 2020.

History

Several events in the early 20th century prompted interest in establishing an organization to protect oil producing nations' national sovereignty over their resources.

Terranilian petroleum reserves were first discovered in 1916 with Quebecshirite assistance, and soon after the [Quebecshirite-Terranilian Petroleum Company (QTCO) began producing oil. Terranihil owned 20% of the company's shares, while Quebecshire owned the rest. This was agreed upon by the Liberal Democratic Party (PĐL) government but soon became a point of conflict with the rise of left-wing and nationalist movements in Terranihil. In 1928, the PĐL, in cooperation with QTCO executives, far-right groups, and Quebecshirite intelligence, staged a coup which prevented the left-wing People's Coalition that intended on nationalizing its oil industry from democratically taking power.

In 1937, the Ashura Revolution brought the Terranilian Communist Party (PKT) into power. Terranihil then nationalized its oil production.
