Anri Akhalaia (born July 30, 1964) is a Lurjizean politician who is currently serving as the TBDth President of Lurjize since his election in May 2012, making him the second longest-serving Lurjizean President.

Early life and education

Akhalaia was born on 30 July 1964 in the fishing village of Qvirilisadgili in the province of Sasikgili. His paternal grandfather, Vazha Aleksandr Akhalaia, hailed from Xichútepa, Creeperopolis, having been born to parents who had been brought to Xichútepa from Lurjize at a young age. In interviews, Akhalaia described his childhood as "turbulent," having grown up without a father figure, of which he was taunted by his schoolmates for. There are various rumors about who Akhalaia's father might have been, with the most popular version being that he was a Quebecshirite sailor who had stopped in the village. Anri was a twin, as his mother, Gvanca Abashidze Akhalaia, gave birth to another son, Abel Akhalaia. However, Abel would go missing at the age of nine. Gvanca worked various unskilled jobs to make ends meet, such as highway construction, at Qvirilisadgili's inn, jobs on a railway, at a local iron mine, and finally at an illegal clothing sweatshop.

Akhalaia went to Qvirilisadgili secondary school, where he took a keen interest in political affairs, specifically relating to Creeperopolis. In his autobiography, he claims to have excelled in learning Creeperian in his free time, much to his mother's disappointment. However, he eventually secured admission to Creeperopolis' Antonio Sáenz Heredia University, and graduated with a degree in political science in 1986 after four years of study.
