The 2017 Tozaningrad apartment clashes were a series of terrorist acts committed by the Defense Armed Union of Cherzia on 21 November 2017. Cherzian insurgents stormed an apartment in Tozaningrad, holding its occupants hostage. The insurgents threatened to kill those who had been taken hostage, and said that if their demands were not met, several bombs laid around nearby buildings would be detonated. When the Cherzian insurgents saw Ajaki soldiers, a gunfight began, ending after a Ajaki tank engaged the fighters, igniting the apartment complex in the process. In the end the Ajaki soldiers killed all Cherzian insurgents involved.
