The 2011 Gjorkan Presidental Election was an election held in Gjorka to determine the next president of Gjorka. The election saw a blowout victory for Roman Vanderburg who defeated incumbent president Joseph Marnell by 24 percentage points. Vanderburg was the first president to garner over 50% of the vote since the 1996 election, and garnered the highest percentage of votes since the 1977 Gjorkan presidential election.
The Constitution of Gjorka espouses the President of Gjorka is elected to a five-year term in a popular vote election. Whoever garners the most votes in the election, shall be the next President of Gjorka. By law, the election is to be held June 30 every five years to give due process for a transition of power between administrations. As well, Presidents are allowed a maximum of two five year terms. Since President Joseph Marnell had only been elected once in the 2006 election he was eligible to run for a second term and choose to do so.
